New Song For Teagan

You know we are always creating songs for Keeley and Teagan.  The latest we've got for Teagan is based on the Ting Ting's song "That's Not My Name".

Teagan's version goes like this:
"I don't know words because I'm just a dog
It's a difficulty and I'm licking with my tongue and I
I keep barking, can't keep me together
People around gotta find something to say now

Can't hold back, everyday I bark
Don't wanna be a loner
Listen to me, oh no
I never say anything at all
Because I'm just a dog you know, don't forget, no
no, no, no

They call me 'Mona'
They call me 'Ashley'
They call me 'Boo-Boo'
They call me 'Wolfie'
That's not my name
That's not my name
That's not my name
That's not my name

They call me 'baby'
But I'm a lady
'Little Wolf Girl'
Always the same
That's not my name
That's not my name
That's not my name
That's not my name

I never miss the catch they throw the ball
I'm the last pup standing up against my mom
Keep my guard up, always watchful, keep going
Getting worked up and standing on the table

So alone inside my crate now
Lock myself away
Listen to me, I'm not
Although I'm a pretty puppy and
Everything considered they forget my name
(ame, ame, ame)

They call me 'Mona'
They call me 'Ashley'
They call me 'Boo-Boo'
They call me 'Wolfie'
That's not my name
That's not my name
That's not my name
That's not my name

They call me 'baby'
But I'm a lady
'Little Wolf Girl'
Always the same
That's not my name
That's not my name
That's not my name
That's not my name

Are you calling me girlie?
Are you calling me simple?
Are you calling me girlie?
Are you calling me simple?
"

Mona, Ashley, Boo-boo, Wolfie, Baby Girl, Little Wolf Girl, Girlie, and Simple are all names that we call Teagan from time to time.  She doesn't know words but she likes it when we sing to her and use her belly as a drum.

Foolishness!

Here's a little update about all that's happened in the last couple of weeks....

Their birthday party got Teagan all riled up and in a bad mood. She was throwing around her bad attitude several times a day, everyday after the party. Then one Sunday, while she was giving Keeley a piece of her mind, she got him in the eye! Oh man, was she ever in the dog house then! What a b*tch, huh?

My poor Keeley boy! It didn't look very serious but there was a little blood. So obviously we had to take him to the vet because you don't want to take chances with eyes. Fortunately, he's fine. She didn't actually get him in the eye. Turns out she just missed and nicked his lower eyelid instead. There's no damage to his actually eye. He's just got eyedrops we have to put in everyday to prevent infection. We also decided that Keeley deserved some special treatment and Teagan deserved some punishment. Keeley was totally thinking Arby's and that sounded like it would fit the bill. So while Keeley got a special trip to the Arby's drive-thru, Teagan got left home alone (which she hates with a passion!).

The next day Keeley was thinking Dairy Queen and got a special trip to the DQ Drive -thru while Teagan got left home alone again. And the day after that Keeley was thinking McDonalds but I told him that enough was enough! I don't want him to get fat!

Since the eye incident, Teagan has not had any more psycho b*tch episodes. It could be in part due to us getting a D.A.P. Diffuser (Dog Appeasing Pheromone). Our vet recommended it and it seems to work. It was kinda pricey ($40) but I see I could get them cheaper on Amazon so I plan on getting 2 more and putting them in the rooms where the majority of her attacks have taken place.

In other news, we've been having some lovely early spring weather here in Wisconsin. There's still the occasional cold snap for a few days at a time, but still that's not too bad. Anytime it's sunny and gets above 50 degrees, then Keeley wants to go sit out on the balcony and sun his buns. It's supposed to get up into the 60's later this week so I'm sure we'll be doing more of this soon.
Keeley loves to sit and watch all the goings on in the neighborhood. However, Teagan feels the need to bark at everything which is really annoying.
The dogs and I are going to be doing a lot of yard work this week to start getting things ready for spring. I know it's a little early for Wisconsin. The reason we're going to work on it this week is because next week I start my new job. After being unemployed for over a year, finally someone hired me! It's only part time and I haven't worked for so little since college, but at least it's a job, right?

Last but not least, you know how I like to make up songs about my dogs. Well I sing one that really annoys their Unkie Ryan. It's to the tune of the Black Eyed Peas song "My Humps" but just to the chorus. It goes like this: "My pups, my pups, my pups, my lovely little pups! My pups, my pups, I love my little pups!" Ryan just rolls his eyes. I like being silly and my dogs don't seem to mind.

The wonderful thing about Teagans

Is Teagans are wonderful things!
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs!
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!
But the most wonderful thing about Teagans is
She's the only one!
Teagans are cuddly doggies
Teagans are awfully sweet
Everyone else is jealous
That's why I repeat... and repeat
The wonderful thing about Teagans
Is Teagans are marvelous pups!
They're loaded with vim and vigor
They love to leap in your laps!
They're jumpy, bumpy, clumpy, thumpy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!
But the most wonderful thing about Teagans is
She's the only one!
(Thank goodness!)
