After our normal morning walk at Lake Park, we decided to scoot on up to Whitefish Bay to check out
Big Bay Park. This park is only 8.68 acres in size.

The lannon-stone stairs that Keeley and I used to get down the bluff were constructed in 1940 with WPA labor.

This groin was also built around the same time to help prevent shoreline erosion.

Keeley just loves exploring new parks and he was so brave, running right out to the water.

After we explored the Lake Michigan shore for a little while, then we headed back up the bluff; this time using the paved walkway.

Keeley was looking a little tired as I was making him run (or trot) up the bluff. It was kind of steep and he had already walked for an hour at Lake Park.

Still, I think Keeley enjoyed this mini adventure to a new park. I figure any day that he gets to go to 2 parks probably counts as a good day for him.
As soon as we got to the car, Keeley slept all the way home. And even now as I blog, he sleeping in his grandma's bed.
