Keeley got the jump on a rabbit that was in his yard this morning. It wasn't able to escape using it's normal routes since Keeley blocked them. Instead the bunny retreated into my secret garden behind the garage. Keeley's not allowed back there because my plantings are just getting established and I don't want him to trample them. The bunny went under the gate to get in there but once there, had no where to go since the fence is buried in the ground.
Keeley barked like crazy at the bunny from the other side of the gate and must have really scared it. The bunny wanted to get far away from Keeley's jaws so it tried to fit itself through one of the links in the chainlink fence. And of course, it's bottom half was too big to fit and then it was stuck there. No, this isn't the first time this has happened. Bunnies sure are dumb. First of all, why got into a yard you know belongs to a dog and secondly, why try to force your butt through a tiny little opening where it doesn't fit. It's just so dumb!
Anyhow, what I ended up doing was taking Keeley inside for about 30 minutes hoping that the bunny would be able to free itself once the threat was gone. The plan worked. When we went out again later, the bunny was gone, but it left a ton of fur behind. That bunny must have a pretty bald butt now.

Hehehe. Barking is what we dogs do. I don't suppose the Bunny's called Peter Rabbit?
