Today at Minooka

This morning we took the pups out to the dog park at Minooka in Waukesha again. We didn't see any dogs in the small dog area at first so we decided to give the big dog area a try. Keeley was really excited to be there.
But there is still the giant stinking puddle in the low spot that dogs go in which I think is just gross. There was a ranger there and he said that they're eventually going to put a fence around it to keep the dogs out. We told him that it was about time and that they should have done that a year or two ago.
Anyhow, we went to the other end of the big dog park to play. After a while, a lot of other people got the same idea and soon Keeley and Teagan were joined by other dogs.
Teagan is so very scared of dogs, especially dogs that are bigger than her. So she always stayed close by to me or her grandma. From this side of the park we could see across the way to the small dog area and saw that there were now other dogs there too, so we decided to head over there.
Teagan is much more confident around small dogs. She's still very shy and prefers people, but after a while she started to play with a group of little dogs.

Now Teagan has met 57 dogs in total. She's more than halfway to her goal of 100. I praised her for being brave today.

Yeah Teagan! She is doing so well, with time, she'll be playing with all the dogs, big and small! I wish they could figure out a way of getting rid of the yucky puddle, hopefully they will put a fence around it.

Your pal,
Kirby

ps - thank you so much for my birthday presents. Mom is downloading the pictures and we will post about it this week!
