research on the topic too. Thank you so much for all your helpful advice. I've decided to just leave Keeley's paws they way they are - a little sandpapery and not to worry about it.
The weekend here has been pretty uneventful. It's hot and Keeley and I do not care for hot weather. We prefer 65-72 degrees for a temperature. We've been doing all our walks in the early morning when it's still fairly cool out. The rest of the day we're just hanging out inside the house. Occasionally we go outside but only for 10-20 minutes at a time since that's about all we can handle. It's nice that Keeley and I are so much alike.
Keeley did alright with the fireworks. He totally slept through the big ones at the lakefront on the 3rd. But on the 4th is when they have the smaller ones at the county parks and we live just blocks away from Washington Park. And so those bothered Keeley because they were so close. He also doesn't like the ones that the neighborhood kids set off all throughout the day, but it doesn't seem as bad as last year.

w00f's Keeley, heehee me didnt do nuffin, me just asked chris iffin she new anything bout ruff paw paws...me usually looks to her fur anything dog related...its noty been to hot here last week, coolish now, low 70's..and we gots rain coming all next week..

Our paws are like Keeley's too. We are having really hot weather and the humidity is really high. It really stinks! We go outside just long enough to get our potties done and then it's right back inside for the AC.

Hi Keeley! I don't like the super hot weather either. When I was at the lake, I would jump in and cool off when I got too hot. It was my version of nature's air conditioning. He he! I don't seem to notice the fireworks yet, but my uncle Spencer does and he gets so scared, that I begin to worry a bit too. I hate those darn things. Grrrrr. I'm glad you like my life jacket. Mo wanted to get one that looked 'cool'. She got the k-9 coat float at sitstay.com, which I know you are a fan of. Oh, BTW, I got my birthday box from you yesterday, but Mom is making me wait till my birthday to open it. She is such a meanie! Thank you for thinking of me. I'll post all about it when the evil one lets me open it!
